The Poppy Reserve blooms every Spring, sometimes patchy, other years in a sea of red. This painting was completed in 2015 after sketches and photos from 2014. Besides the amazing landscape, the intense reds and oranges as the poppy petals open and close with the desert breeze drew my attention.
