Mykonos is welcoming the visitor with its windmills. |
Before electricity and tourism, the energy of the
wind was the prominent energy in the island. |
Paraportiani Shrine, was given this name
because it is close (para) to the port. This little
church has the most amazing architecture. |
From each different angle it
reveals a different shape. |
And from some views it resembles
an abstract piece of sculture. |
Other shrines are simpler, but still
magnificent in their simplicity. |
There is photogenic spot in Mykonos called Venice. |
Fishermen used to live there. Now it is home to
nightclubs. |
A famous pelican greets visitors at the port. |
To go to the best beaches, you either
rent a moped or you take the boat. |
The trick is to catch the last boat back.
Otherwise you have to stay for an all night beach party. |
