Mykonos is a place with the happiest cats. |
|
Every morning these two had a conversation
outside the home I was staying at. |
|
This year I celebrated my birthday in Mykonos.
During the day I went to a photo safari
in the village and the beaches.
This is when I took all the photos posted here.
At night, my friends prepared this beautiful
cake for me. it was windy and they had to protect
the candle so I would get to blow it myself. |
|
Another year has elapsed! |
|
My friends put a rose on the side of the cake,
stolen from a nearby garden a few moments ago.
They told me to look at the flower and the thorns
and remember the happy and painful times
of the year passed. Good and bad comes in pairs. |
|
We continued with Mykonos style tequilas and
tried to feed or drown good an bad memories
in alcohol made in Mexico. |
|
My friends Sophia and Panos were the well wishers. |
|
And my friend Eva. |
|
After a long night, on the way back to my home
in the wee hours of the morning, I hear someone
calling my name. It was my friend Pete from Los Angeles.
It is either a small world or Mykonos is on an energy vortex. |
|
Not knowing why, I lit a candle in a church
that was already open for Matins Service. |
|
People were already having breakfast,
like this mother with her child on her lap.
Italians were always speaking on a cell phone. |
|
And cats were waking up from their morning
naps. |
